Takes over defaults, Displays ads, No support at support link

When I opened the support link, there’s no mention of this program that I could find….Who really owns this app?
It replaces itself as the default for many different file types. That’s not what I want. That’s not what I expected.
When it opens, it opens an ugly ad that’s huge and demands your attention. I deleted it.
If you need checksums, just google mac checksums. It’s easy to do from terminal.
